EVE Vanguard enemies
The EVE Vanguard enemies you meet on Lost Convoy come in two flavors: human soldiers who defend Upwell's salvage sites, and the machine that comes for anyone who stays too long. On the human side is Mordu's Legion, the mercenary corporation hired to secure the wreck. Their rank-and-file infantry open with patrols, drones, and marksmen, and they do not fight at a fixed strength — the longer you work an objective, the harder the response drops in around you.
That escalation has a ceiling. Push into contested ground and the Heavy Oppressor descends, a chaingun-armed heavy that punishes players camping a point. Guarding the map's best loot is the Reserve Leader, an elite officer marked by red insignia; kill one and it drops the keycode that unlocks the Fueling Station, the deployment's strongest reward tier. Reading which threat is on the field tells you how much time you have left.
Above all of it sits the Nemesis Drones — colossal flying war machines and the centerpiece PvE threat. They hunt Warclones who overstay, and the alarm that warns "Nemesis is coming" is the pressure the whole match runs on. Bring one down and its advanced tech becomes extractable loot. Learn each unit below, then take it into the extraction guide to plan when to fight and when to run.
