EVE Vanguard factions
New Eden is crowded with powers, and every one of them has a stake in what you do on the ground. The factions of EVE Vanguard are those powers — the sides pulling at the war while you fight over a hostile planet's surface. You play a Warclone, a technologically immortal mercenary whose mind rides in neural implants and drops into an expendable body, redeploying after every death. Collectively the Warclones are the Vanguard, and in EVE Vanguard's Operation Avalon story they have just torn free of their creators to seize the wandering Avalon flotilla for themselves.
The ground fights back. Mordu's Legion is the primary human enemy in EVE Vanguard, a disciplined mercenary corporation hired to guard the Upwell Consortium — the megacorp whose salvage sites, convoys, and colossal Command Block are your raid targets. Linger too long and Mordu's Legion escalates from patrols to marksmen, troop drops, and chaingun-toting Heavy Oppressors. Overhead, EVE Vanguard adds a second kind of opposition: AEGIS, an EDENCOM command group under Provost Marshal Kasiha Valkanir that brands the immortal Vanguard an existential threat and publicly condemned the whole operation.
Behind the Warclones stands the Deathless Circle, the Zarzakh-based pirate coalition that developed Warclone technology before the Vanguard broke away. Further out, the Four Empires — the Amarr Empire, which originated the tech through its Templar program, alongside the Caldari State, Gallente Federation, and Minmatar Republic — stay officially neutral while quietly competing over where Avalon settles, a contest players help decide. Together these EVE Vanguard factions turn a single EVE Vanguard deployment into a flashpoint in a much larger war. Each card below opens a full breakdown of one EVE Vanguard faction: who it is, what it wants, and how it shapes the EVE Vanguard fight you drop into.

Warclones
The player faction. Warclones are technologically immortal mercenaries — infomorphs whose consciousness is stored in neural implants and transferred into expendable bodies, letting them redeploy after death. Collectively they are the Vanguard.

Mordu's Legion
A mercenary corporation and the primary human enemy on the ground. Mordu's Legion provides security for the Upwell Consortium and defends its installations against Warclone raids with disciplined squad tactics.

Deathless Circle
A coalition of pirates and criminals based in the shrouded system of Zarzakh, led by The Deathless. The Deathless Circle developed the Warclone technology and recruited the Vanguard. In Operation Avalon's story the Warclones break away from it and seize the Avalon flotilla for themselves.

AEGIS
A command group under EDENCOM, established during the Triglavian Invasion and led by Provost Marshal Kasiha Valkanir. AEGIS sees the immortal Vanguard as an existential threat to New Eden and publicly condemned Operation Avalon.

Upwell Consortium
The megacorporation whose salvage sites, convoys, cannons, and the colossal Upwell Command Block are the Warclones' primary raid targets. Upwell hires Mordu's Legion to protect them.

The Four Empires
New Eden's four great empires form the political backdrop. The Amarr Empire originated Warclone technology through its Templar program; the Caldari State, Gallente Federation, and Minmatar Republic each watch the Vanguard's rise. Officially neutral, they quietly compete over where the Warclone settlement of Avalon will take root — an outcome players help decide.
